The Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab states of the Gulf (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi condemned on Sunday the Israeli occupation's brutal attack on the Nuseirat Camp in Gaza, which killed and injured hundreds of Palestinians. Al-Budaiwi stated that this attack was terrorism that targeted innocent and defenseless people with unprecedented brutality, he added that this barbaric attack demonstrated the Israeli occupation's terrorism and their complete disregard for all international conventions and humanitarian values. He called on the international community to assume its historical and moral responsibilities and take immediate actions to stop these horrific crimes against the Palestinian people. He stressed that the GCC countries stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom and to live in peace and he further reiterated the firm positions of the GCC regarding the Palestinian cause, and their support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian stat e on the 1967 borders, with its capital in East Jerusalem, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy resolutions.
