French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna called for respecting international law in the Gaza Strip and an immediate humanitarian truce that must be able to lead to a ceasefire in Gaza as casualties surge there. She said that as the civilian population in Gaza is exposed to the risk of epidemics, famine, lack of access to medical care, and the consequences of displacement, the gravity of the situation calls for ensuring access to water, fuel, medicine, food, and basic goods. Colonna added that France was working to have a resolution on a truce adopted by the UN Security Council. Source: Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA
