French authorities Tuesday announced that 12 people died after a ship they were on sank while trying to cross the English Channel. According to the French agency France 24, the resigned French Interior Minister, Gerald Darmanin, wrote on X that 12 people died after the ship sank off the coast of the Pas-de-Calais region in northern France.
