Ramallah - Ma'an - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned against evacuating citizens from the northern Gaza Strip in preparation for Israeli settlement there, and stressed that "exploding the situation in the West Bank aims to overthrow the Palestinian Authority." The Foreign Ministry said in its statement today, Saturday: "We warn of the dangers resulting from the occupation's evacuation of the northern Gaza Strip of the Palestinian citizens present there, and considers it a prelude to starting to annex the Strip and essential parts of it in preparation for settlement there." She added, "This comes at a time when the ruling Israeli right is mobilizing all its tools and capabilities to explode the situation in the occupied West Bank with the aim of facilitating the annexation of the West Bank and overthrowing the Palestinian National Authority." She stressed that "the international failure to stop the war of extermination and displacement provides the extremist Israeli government with the time needed to i mplement its colonial plans in the West Bank and Gaza, and encourages it to continue to strike at the foundations of the Palestinian state and liquidate it." The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has been ongoing since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 41,182 citizens and the injury of 95,280 others. The West Bank is witnessing a security escalation in many cities and regions, especially in the northern West Bank, which has led to thousands of deaths and injuries, and caused great destruction to the infrastructure.
