Amman: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly denounced Israel's ongoing attacks on shelter centers for Palestinian refugees in the Gaza Strip, which are experiencing an unparalleled humanitarian crisis since October 7th. The most recent attack targeted a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Nuseirat camp, resulting in fifteen fatalities the majority of them women and children and numerous injuries. Ambassador Sufian Qudah, the official spokesperson for the Ministry, reaffirmed the Kingdom's condemnation and categorization of Israel's ongoing war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. This behavior demonstrates a flagrant defiance of international humanitarian law, international law, and all moral and humanitarian principles. It also poses a direct challenge to the international community's demand that the war end and civilians be protected. Additionally, Ambassador Qudah emphasized that Israel's repe ated attacks on shelter centers and humanitarian facilities, whose protection is required by international law, are a flagrant violation of both international humanitarian law and international law and show Israel's clear intention to uphold violence, reject peace, terrorize civilians, and cause them more suffering. Ambassador Qudah emphasized that international silence encourages Israel to continue committing more crimes and increases the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people. He renewed his call to the international community, especially the Security Council, for the need to take immediate and decisive action to stop these crimes and provide international protection for Palestinian civilians.
