Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi Tuesday urged the international community to support Syrian refugees in Jordan and not leave this responsibility to host countries. Safadi met with Vice President of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas in Amman and discussed strengthening ties between Jordan and the EU and the Syrian refugee crisis. Safadi warned of declining international support for refugees, host countries and organisations that support refugees and host communities. He praised the EU for supporting Jordan's efforts in offering services to refugees. He called for continued cooperation between donor countries and host countries to ensure a decent living for refugees. Schinas lauded Jordan's "pioneering" role in hosting refugees and providing them with decent livelihoods. Source: Jordan News Agency
