Foreign Minister holds Israel accountable for escalation in Lebanon

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi Saturday held Israel accountable for the "catastrophic" escalation against Lebanon. Safadi wrote on X, "We hold Israel fully responsible for the catastrophic consequences of its aggression on Lebanon, which it is launching brutally without any legal or humanitarian deterrent, while it continues its aggression on Gaza and its dangerous escalation in the West Bank. "We condemn its aggression on Lebanon and its violation of its sovereignty, bombing its capital, killing its citizens and threatening its security and stability. We stand in solidarity with Lebanon and its people as it confronts this aggression and heals its wounds.
