Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, on Thursday, discussed with US National Security Council coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, Brett McGurk , efforts to reach an "immediate" and "permanent" ceasefire in Gaza and the disastrous consequences of continuing the war on the coastal enclave. Safadi stressed need to stop the aggression against Gaza immediately and deliver humanitarian aid to the enclave "immediately, sufficiently and sustainably." The FM also said any future approach to deal with Gaza must be based on taking Gaza as a part of the occupied Palestinian territory within context of a comprehensive plan to implement the two-state solution in accordance with the approved terms of reference.
