Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, said the Israeli escalation is ongoing and dangerous, adding that Arab and Muslim nations are confronting it with all their capabilities, as Israel is pushing the entire region towards the abyss. Speaking during a press conference held Wednesday, following the meeting of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee entrusted to launch international action to stop the war on Gaza, Safadi said: "We do not believe that revoking the peace agreement will neither serve Jordan nor Palestine, and the Kingdom is using the agreement to protect Jordan's interests and serve the Palestinian people." Safadi pointed out that today's discussions come within the framework of consultative coordination ahead of the meetings of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79). During talks, Safadi said participants referred to the need to halt the aggression on the Gaza Strip and stop escalation in the West Bank and Jerusalem, adding that talks aimed to coordinat e the Arab position that seeks a "large" international mobilization to support the Palestinian cause, as the main goal is to stop aggression on Gaza and cease exacerbation towards a regional war. Safadi stated that: "We will go to the UN General Assembly with a number of clear positions and demands and will hold a number of meetings there." Several countries have recognized the State of Palestine and a meeting will be held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings to push for recognition of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations, he pointed out. Safadi said: "Our message to the world is that it is time to take practical steps that prove that there is a price for the continuation of Israeli policies and measures, which disregard all human values ??and defy the decisions of the International Court of Justice, and do not fulfill its duties as an occupying power." Furthermore, he stressed the entire world must move immediately to stop Israeli aggression. Source: Jordan News Agency
