Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi and UN Under-Secretary-General and Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza, Sigrid Kaag , discussed on Tuesday preparations for the emergency international conference on the urgent humanitarian response to Gaza, which Jordan is hosting on Tuesday. Safadi and Kaag also discussed Jordan's efforts to deliver adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. They emphasized the need to stop the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, the unprecedented suffering and humanitarian disaster in the Strip, and the need to intensify efforts aimed at reaching a ceasefire in Gaza as the only way to ensure the protection of civilians and the unimpeded entry of aid into Gaza.
