The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in the strongest terms the American aggression against Baghdad that was launched yesterday, which resulted in the killing of the leader of the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades, Abu Baqir al-Saadi. The Ministry confirmed in the statement, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that this aggression is a blatant violation of Iraq's sovereignty, security and stability. The Ministry expressed the sincere condolences and sympathy of the Republic of Yemen to the government, the brotherly Iraqi people, and the family of the deceased. It stressed that these American criminal actions threaten to expand the scope of the war in the region , aim to protect the Zionist entity and enable it to continue its crimes against the Palestinians in Gaza. The statement expressed the solidarity of the Republic of Yemen with the brotherly Republic of Iraq and its support for it in all the measures it takes to protect its sovereignty and maintain its security and stability.
