Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, held a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, on Tuesday to discuss the urgent efforts to de-escalate the current crisis in the region and ensure immediate and sufficient humanitarian aid to Gaza and Lebanon. During the call, Safadi emphasized that halting the Israeli aggression on Gaza is the first step toward de-escalation. He also stressed the importance of stopping the aggression in Lebanon and called for the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701. Safadi highlighted the need to halt Israeli escalations in the occupied West Bank and demanded Israel to cease violations at the holy sites in Jerusalem, respecting the established historical and legal status quo.
