Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, head of the presidential committee addressing flood damage in Hodeida, Raymah, Mahweet, and Hajjah provinces on Monday visited al-Jabin distict to assess the impact of recent floods. Accompanied by head of the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges Eng. Abdulrahman al-Hadrami and Eng. Nabil al-Haifi, head of the Road Maintenance Fund, Dr. Maqbouli inspected affected areas including agricultural terraces, roads, and shops in Oden area. They reviewed the damage with local residents and discussed emergency measures to mitigate the impact and address immediate needs. Dr. Maqbouli emphasized the urgency of implementing solutions in line with directives from the revolutionary and political leadership. The committee highlighted the need for support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries to address damage to agricultural terraces and provide necessary resources to farmers. The Road Maintenance Fund committed to building a new bridge in Aden Valley and addressing road closures aff ecting multiple districts. Additionally, the team reviewed the progress of debris removal and road clearing efforts by the Roads and Bridges Corporation, stressing the importance of quick action to restore infrastructure and alleviate citizen suffering.
