NABLUS: Five Palestinian citizens of Israel Friday evening sustained injuries in a colonist attack, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to the Palestinian news website Arab48. It reported that a number of Palestinian citizens of Israel drove their vehicle by mistake into the colonial outpost of Givat Ronin, south of the city, before being attacked by colonists. The assailants hurled stones towards and torched the vehicle. The passengers managed to flee the scene on foot and miraculously survived the attack. Meanwhile, Israeli colonists prevented Palestinian farmers from harvesting their crops in al-Minya, located between the Kisan and Rashayda towns, east of Bethlehem. Adnan Jabarin said that colonists from the Ma'ale Amos colony grazed their cattle on 300 donums of land cultivated by wheat and barely belonging to farmers from the al-Frukh and at-Taraweh families. He added that there has been a sharp rise in colonist attacks against Palestinian cultivated land since October 7, as c olonists, under army protection, physically assault Palestinian farmers and prevent them from tending to their crops. Colonist violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli occupation authorities. Colonist violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others. Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law. Source: Palestine news & Information Agency - WAFA
