First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of Defense Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah sent a cable congratulating the Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad Al-Maktoum on being appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister of the United Arab Emirates. The Ministry of Defense said in a statement that Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf expressed his sincere congratulation to Sheikh Hamdan Al-Maktoum for gaining the trust of the political leadership in the UAE. Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf wished Sheikh Hamdan success in his new position and wished the UAE and its people further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
