First Deputy PM is briefed on operations room mechanism Supreme Committee for Confronting Flood Damage

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Confronting Emergencies and Flood Damage, Allamah Mohammad Moftah, was briefed Sunday, evening on the progress of work in the joint operations room of the Supreme Committee. Allamah Moftah listened from the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development, Chairman of the Joint Operations Room, Mohammad Al-Madani, to an explanation of the mechanism of work in the room and the role it plays in coordinating between official and community efforts to confront the damage and aspects related to awareness. Al-Madani indicated that the directors of the agricultural offices in the governorates and directorates were directed to empty the dams in areas expected to receive heavy rains, so that the amount of water in them does not exceed 75 percent of their capacity and so that they can absorb the flowing floods.
