The Federal Police Command announced, today, Saturday, the release of a kidnapped girl and the arrest of her kidnappers in the capital, Baghdad. The command said in a statement, 'The security deployment and continuous follow-up of federal police units within the sector of responsibility resulted in thwarting the kidnapping of a child and arresting the two kidnappers (foreign nationals) in (Al-Obaidi) area in Baghdad.' It added, "The detachments of the First Brigade, First Division of the Federal Police, with the support of the intelligence effort and as a result of the rapid movement and cordoning off the place, were able to arrest them, free the kidnapped girl, and refer the two accused to the competent authorities.
