Federal Police Command forces arrested a gang specialized in trading and promoting narcotic substances in Al-Shaab area and seized substances for abuse in Al-Nahrawan district of Baghdad. The Command stated in a statement that a force from the 19th Brigade, 5th Division, Federal Police, arrested in flagrante a gang of 3 defendants who was promoting narcotic substances in Al-Shaab area. They were found in their possession of (5 small bags filled with crystal narcotic substance, estimated at approximately 26 grams, and ampoules) used for the use of contaminated mobile phones. The statement added that, pursuant to a judicial order, a force from the Second Brigade was able to carry out a search operation at the home of a defendant arrested earlier in the Nahrawan district, during which materials used for drug abuse were seized (7 contaminated drug pipes, a pistol store, in addition to 2 motorcycles without papers). The defendants were referred, along with the seized materials, to the competent authorities to co mplete the investigative and legal procedures against them. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
