Federal Police arrest 7 defendants and seize unlicensed weapons in Baghdad and Babylon

Federal Police Command forces arrested 7 defendants and seized unlicensed weapons in Baghdad and Babylon. The Command stated in a statement: 'The security effort of the units of the Federal Police Mechanized Division, with the support of the intelligence effort and the attached units, resulted in the arrest of (5) persons accused of legal matters (murder, threats, quarreling) within the areas of responsibility in Baghdad and Babylon.' It added: "The division's detachments carried out a search duty for unlicensed weapons in the areas of (Al-Marasama and Al-Diwan), during which (two Kalashnikov rifles and firearms) were seized within the area of responsibility of the Fifth Brigade, the Second Division in the Shu'la Al-Dawanem area, two parties to a quarrel were arrested, one of whom was found in his possession a Kalashnikov rifle, and the defendants and the seized weapons were referred to the competent authorities.
