Federal Police Command forces arrested 16 defendants and seized unlicensed weapons in Baghdad. The Command stated in a statement: The security operations carried out by units of the Fifth Division of the Federal Police resulted in the arrest of 16 defendants in accordance with various legal provisions that included (murder, drugs, theft, quarreling) and the seizure of unlicensed weapons (two Kalashnikov rifles, a pistol, and rifle stores) in the areas of (Sadr City, Al-Shaab, and Al-Husseiniyah). It added that the division's units also carried out separate operations in the areas of (Sadr City, Al-Husseiniyah) and carried out regional inspection duties for unlicensed weapons, during which (5 Kalashnikov rifles, 5 pistols, and 20 different types of weapons stores and light equipment bullets) were seized, and the accused were referred with the seized items to the competent authorities.
