The Directorate stated in a statement: "The Civil Defense teams immediately began heading to the site of the accident, and carried out fire containment operations, isolated the burning stalls and kiosks, and prevented the spread of the fire to neighboring and adjacent buildings, while the teams tightened their full control over the fire after carrying out direct storming operations and extinguishing the fire completely without recording human injuries and limiting material damage." It continued: "As a result, the Civil Defense requested an investigation into the police station responsible for the geographical area in question, and summoning a forensic expert to determine the causes that led to the outbreak of the fire.
