Brussels: The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Kallas, expressed grave concerns over the escalating conflict in Gaza, stating that "the war in Gaza is becoming more dangerous by the hour."
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Kallas made these remarks in a statement on X following an emergency meeting of EU foreign ministers conducted via videoconference. During the meeting, Kallas emphasized the urgent need for humanitarian assistance to the region. She urged for the facilitation of civilian organizations' access to Gaza, the implementation of an immediate ceasefire, and the release of remaining prisoners.
Kallas further elaborated on the situation by remarking, "If a military solution were possible, the war would have ended long ago." Her comments highlight the necessity of pursuing diplomatic and humanitarian avenues to address the ongoing crisis effectively.
