Ramallah: The Presidency condemned on Tuesday evening the actions of a Palestinian businessman widely floated as a governor of postwar Gaza as 'disgraceful'. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the condemnation was a response to statements made by Samir Hulileh. Hulileh invoked the name of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and senior officials in connection with actions that circumvent the PLO and the PNA's official position. The PNA rejects the separation of the Gaza Strip from the West Bank, viewing it as part of an Israeli scheme. The Presidency called on Hulileh to stop spreading lies and to cease his attempts to cover up his stance, which they claim brings him under liability. The Presidency reiterated that the Gaza Strip is an inseparable part of the State of Palestine, emphasizing that its administration is the exclusive responsibility of the PNA and the Palestinian government.
