BRUSSELS: The European Union today strongly condemned the provocations of Israeli Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and his call to violate the status quo of the holy sites in Jerusalem. The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, said in a post on X, "The Union reiterates the call of the leaders of the European Council, which was held in June, to maintain the status quo regarding the holy sites. The two extremist ministers, Itamar Ben-Gvir and Yitzhak Wasserlauf, stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday along with thousands of colonists, under the protection of the occupation police.
