The European Union's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell condemned the targeting of UNIFIL forces by Israeli troops. "Such attacks against UN peacekeepers constitute a serious violation of international law and are completely unacceptable. These attacks must stop immediately," Borrell said in a statement issued on behalf of the European Union. "The European Union condemns all attacks against UN missions," he added. "The European Union expresses its deep concern in particular about the attacks by Israeli forces against UNIFIL troops, which resulted in the injury of several peacekeepers."
