BRUSSELS: The High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, condemned Israeli colonists' attack against the village of Jit, east of Qalqilya, which he stressed is aimed at terrorizing Palestinian civilians. 'Day after day, in an almost total impunity, Israeli settlers fuel violence in the occupied West Bank, contributing to endanger any chance of peace,' he said in a post on X. 'The Israeli government must stop these unacceptable actions immediately,' he added. The EU High Representative confirmed his intention to table a proposal for EU sanctions against violent settlers' enablers, including some Israeli government members. More than 100 colonists, including armed men, attacked the village of jit last night and opened fire at citizens, which led to the killing of a young man and injured others. Four houses and six vehicles were also set on fire during the attack. Source: Palestine news & Information Agency - WAFA
