Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed that Israel, with its barbarity, has become a threat to the world and humanity. Erdogan said during a phone call with Pope Francis today, Thursday / according to a statement by the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidency /: Measures must be taken within the framework of an alliance for humanity, before it is too late, especially for Muslims and Christians living in Palestine. Erdogan stressed the need to act in the form of a "humanitarian alliance so that peace can prevail among Muslims and Christians in Palestine. President Erdogan explained that "the Israeli attacks on Gaza have turned into genocide", and that there is a serious humanitarian crisis occurring in the Strip, stressing that Israel "carries out its massacres under a diplomatic, economic and military umbrella provided by some countries". Erdogan said that the assassination of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, and the attack on Lebanon showed once again that I srael poses a threat to the region, the world and humanity as a whole. The Turkish President expressed his confidence that Pope Francis' talks with countries that support Israel will be useful in stopping the attacks and ensuring lasting peace, without causing permanent damage to the political, security and social structure in the world, including the region. During the call, Pope Francis thanked President Erdogan for his efforts for peace and his sensitivity towards the deterioration of religious values. Erdogan said: What happened in Paris during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games sparked anger and reactions and offends Muslims as much as it offends the Christian world. He added: Under the guise of freedom Expression and tolerance, human dignity is being trampled on and religious and moral values are being mocked, and this offends Muslims as much as it offends the Christian world, and he believes that it is necessary for us to raise our voices together and take a common stand against these matter s. President Erdogan also stated that the challenge to religious values, the perverted propaganda industry, and the moral collapse that the world is drifting into at the Olympic Games, which are held to unite people, are alarm bells. A few days ago, at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, a live artwork similar to the painting "The Last Supper" by the Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci was presented, consisting of a large table around which men dressed in women's clothing, wearing excessive makeup, and a transgender model gathered.
