Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called for stopping the aggressive practices of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against the Palestinians, describing him as "barbaric and bloodthirsty". Erdogan said in a speech today, Sunday, during his participation in a consultative meeting of the Justice and Development Party in the capital, Ankara: "This bloodthirsty barbarian called Netanyahu, who is dragging our region and the whole world into a humanitarian catastrophe, must be stopped. Erdogan stressed that "Turkey opposes in all platforms the oppression, massacres and injustice that have continued for 76 years and stands by the Palestinian people with all its capabilities". Regarding the fight against terrorism, Erdogan said: "Turkey cannot enjoy peace and feel safe unless it drains the swamps that produce terrorism in northern Iraq and Syria."
