Erdogan confirms that Turkey will continue efforts to secure a humanitarian truce and then establish permanent stability in Gaza

Istanbul Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed that his country will continue to make efforts to secure a humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip initially, and then establish permanent stability in the region.

Erdogan said in a post on the “X” platform in which he commented on the meeting of the open-ended Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: “The massacre in Gaza moved to another dimension yesterday through the heinous attack on the Arab National Hospital.”

He added: "I curse the perpetrators of this attack, which is a crime against humanity and amounts to a massacre against the people of Gaza."

The Turkish President expressed his appreciation for the emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation "as it is a tangible indicator of the steadfastness of the Islamic world in the face of increasing Israeli injustice."

Erdogan stressed that the UN Security Council has become extremely ineffective and has failed once again to fulfill its responsibilities.

The Turkish President said: Our efforts to achieve calm collided with steps such as sending aircraft carriers to the region, cutting off aid, and punishing the population collectively.

Erdogan called on the international community to take measures to stop this unprecedented brutality in Gaza.

He said: The international community, including Western countries, must take effective measures against human rights violations in Gaza.

He stressed that Western countries that claim to be leaders in human rights and freedoms have not taken any steps other than adding fuel to the fire.

He stressed that the international media entered a race to justify human massacres with their biased and hypocritical publications./End
