The Energy Police Directorate detachments arrested two suspects accused of smuggling oil derivatives and seized their two vehicles in Basra Governorate. The Directorate stated in a statement: "The detachments of the Ninth Energy Police Brigade in Basra Governorate arrested two suspects and seized their two vehicles prepared for smuggling oil derivatives due to several violations. They were detained and the two vehicles were seized to complete the investigations in accordance with Law No. 41 of 2008 on combating the smuggling of oil and its derivatives."
