A statement by the Energy Police Directorate stated: 'Detachments of the Second Brigade arrested a person accused of smuggling in Salah al-Din Governorate, and seized a tanker vehicle loaded with an unknown quantity and quality of petroleum product, due to the presence of a modification in the tanker's hull.' He added: 'The accused and the vehicle were handed over to the Salah al-Din Oil Police Station, in preparation for completing the investigative procedures, in preparation for referring him to the judiciary.
