Detachments of the Energy Police Directorate arrested (5) defendants and seized their vehicles in the governorates of Najaf, Babylon, and Salah Al-Din. The Directorate stated in a statement: The detachments of the 2nd and 6th Energy Police Brigades in the governorates of Najaf Al-Ashraf, Babylon, and Salah Al-Din arrested 5 accused of smuggling petroleum products and seized their vehicles for carrying a petroleum product without official papers. The accused were detained and the vehicles were seized in preparation for completing the procedures. The investigation will be presented to the competent judiciary, each within its governorate.
