Egypt's Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly presented on Monday the government's resignation to President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi. Spokesman for the Egyptian presidency, Ahmad Fahmy said in a statement that President Al-Sisi has reassigned Dr. Madbouly to form a new government. Targets for new cabinet members would include preserving the country's national security in light of regional and international challenges, and counter-terrorism, the statement added. The President has assigned the current government to continue as a caretaker and perform its duties and tasks until a new government is formed. The resignation came after Al-Sisi was elected for a third term in December 2023 and started the new term in April 2024. Source: Kuwait News Agency
