Egypt affirmed that it places a high value on multilateral collective action and improving the UN system's ability to protect international peace and security, particularly at this time when the international system is confronted with a large number of intertwined and transnational threats. These remarks were made during a meeting Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held on Tuesday with the leaders and members of the multilateral and international security sector. The meeting covered preparations for Egypt's participation in the high-level segment of 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79) in New York this month, and highlighted key meetings and events in which Egypt will participate, the important political messages that Egypt is keen to deliver to the participating countries during the meetings, and the objectives of Egypt's participation in general.
