Ramallah Ma'an - Minister of Education and Higher Education Amjad Barham held a meeting today to discuss preparations for the start of the new academic year 2024-2025, in the presence of Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr. Nafeh Assaf, Assistant Undersecretaries, and Directors General of Education. The meeting discussed the importance of verifying the general readiness for the start of the new school year, and emphasizing the sacred right of students to education, especially in light of the continued brutal aggression of the occupation on the West Bank, Gaza and Jerusalem, and discussing ways to deal with emergencies in light of the current situation. In this context, Barham stressed the importance of integrating efforts to follow up on the conditions of students in the Gaza Strip, and finding solutions to join the new academic year from its beginning, in order to complete their education, which they were deprived of as a result of the ongoing occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip for months. During the meeting, the education directors reviewed the readiness of each directorate to start the school year, which comes under exceptional circumstances. Source: Maan News Agency
