Ramallah-Ma'an- Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Amjad Barham met in his office in Ramallah today with the Country Director of Save the Children Xavier Jobert, where they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation on several issues related to education and the challenges it faces. In this context, Barham briefed Jobert on the ministry's priorities at the present time; specifically in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and its repercussions and effects on the educational process, pointing to the efforts led by the ministry to protect the right of children and students in schools and universities to complete their education and compensate them for what they missed as a result of the aggression. The minister praised the efforts of "Save the Children" in supporting the education sector in several fields, pointing to the importance of concerted efforts to ensure the cessation of aggression and the provision of the needs that constitute a basis for supportin g and developing education. For his part, Jobert stressed that the foundation supports the ministry's joint programs and plans that are in line with Save the Children's vision and development projects, stressing his interest in providing all means that guarantee the protection of education, especially in light of the challenges ahead.
