An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale struck central Syria on Friday. The Syrian National Earthquake Center stated that the earthquake occurred 28 kilometers east of Hama Governorate and was felt by residents of the Syrian governorates. No material or human losses have been reported so far as a result of the earthquake. A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck central Syria last Monday night and was felt by residents of several areas in Lebanon. Source : Qatar News Agency
