Lebanon said on Tuesday that dozens of people were injured across the country as a result of explosions of hand-held communication devices. Prime Ministry Najib Mikati was informed during a cabinet session about security incidents in a number of locations, and that Health Ministry crews went on alert to treat the injured people in hospitals, the prime minister's office said in a statement. The Health Ministry said initial conclusions were that the injuries were caused by the explosion of wireless devices that were in the possession of the injured, calling on "all citizens who own wireless communication devices to stay away from them until the truth of what is happening is revealed."
