Doha: A ceremony was held in Doha today to honor a distinguished group of administrative talents, individuals, institutions, and leading companies in the fields of labor, social development, and social work in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This event took place on the sidelines of the ministerial meetings on civil service, labor, and social development in the GCC countries. The recognition included honoring Gulf talents in the civil service sector, the negotiation team for the unified purchase of human resources systems licenses in GCC countries, outstanding companies in job localization, distinguished small business owners, pioneering projects in social work, as well as recognizing a leading personality in this field. Additionally, an individual who made significant contributions to the labor sector in Qatar was also honored. In a speech during the ceremony, HE Secretary-General of the GCC Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi extended the highest expressions of gratitude and deep appreciation to HH t he Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the current Chairman of the GCC Supreme Council, for the generous support and care given to the progress of joint Gulf cooperation in all fields, including civil service, labor, and social development. He said that they were celebrating the recognition of a select group of administrative talents in the civil service sectors of the GCC countries, as well as a number of companies, institutions, and individuals who have made a deep impact in our Gulf society in the fields of public and private sector work and social development. His Excellency also highlighted the recognition of the negotiation team for the unified purchase of human resources systems licenses in the GCC, which achieved a significant milestone by unifying the member states' purchases of these systems while ensuring they obtain the latest technologies and the best available services. He added that this celebration is a token of gratitude and acknowledgment to all the honorees for their effort s in achieving the sustainable development goals of the GCC countries, and in recognition of the significant work they have accomplished through their roles and responsibilities in their respective countries.
