The Minister of Transport in the caretaker government, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, discussed today, via teleconference, the workflow and level of job discipline at the Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation after the end of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. The meeting, which included from Hodeidah Governorate - the President of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Zaid Al-Washli, and his deputy, Nasr Al-Nasiri, reviewed the results of the work of the specialized committees for the rehabilitation of the port and the maintenance of equipment, which contribute directly to the work of the port of Hodeidah, to provide maritime navigation services to ships and commercial containers, which reach the port. The meeting discussed the corporation's plan to provide the best navigational services and facilities for ships, businessmen and importing traders, as the port of Hodeidah serves 70 percent of the population of the Republic of Yemen. In the meeting, Minister Al-Durra praised the efforts of the port workers during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday around the clock in receiving ships, which dock at the port's quays, and unloading them with ease. He stressed that the port of Hodeidah is working at a high pace in providing maritime and humanitarian navigational services to all ships professionally and technically in accordance with the requirements and conditions emanating from the International Maritime Organization, which are in force in international ports. For his part, the President of the Red Sea Ports Corporation reviewed the activities and programs provided by the Red Sea Ports, with the cooperation of all employees with high morale, which contributes to the success of the work. He pointed out that the institution is working on continuous and modern maintenance of technical equipment, whether heavy or light, with qualified Yemeni cadres technically and professionally. The Vice President of the Red Sea Ports Corporation Al-Nasiri touched on the efforts made by workers in facilitating work, and the timely entry and unloading of ships in Yemen's Red Sea ports, especially the port of Hodeidah.
