The main committee for preserving the lands and campus of Taiz International Airport, headed by the Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Defense , Security Affairs and Chairman of the Committee, Lieutenant General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, discussed studies and plans for Taiz Airport rehabilitation project submitted by the Civil Aviation Authority. In the presence of the caretaker Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, the Undersecretary for the Air Transport Sector, Abdullah Al-Ansi, and the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Qadir, the committee reviewed the plans for the airport campus and the streets surrounding it. Al-Ruwaishan pointed out that the Supreme Political Council gives this airport great attention to provide its services to densely populated provinces. While Transport Minister reviewed the strategic importance of Taiz Airport to provide its services locally and internationally, indicating that studies and plans are ready to rehabilitate the airport in accordance wit h international requirements and specifications. He pointed out that work is underway to provide the requirements of the Taiz Airport rehabilitation project to meet the efficiency of safe technical operation and international safety requirements.
