A meeting in Al Bayda province, headed by Governor Abdullah Idris today, discussed ways to improve service and development performance level in Al Bayda Countryside Directorate. The meeting, which was attended by the Director of Al-Bayda Rural Directorate, Adel Al-Kasadi, the local mayor of Al-Bayda City, Sadiq Al-Qadi, sheikhs and notables of the Al Issa region, touched on issues related to the drinking water project in Al-Bayda City, which is implemented by the Social Fund for Development and funded by the Dutch government. He pointed out the importance of starting the implementation of the second phase of the drinking water project in Al Bayda, and establishing a water barrier in Al Issa area in the countryside of Al Bayda. He also pointed out the need to work on reclaiming neglected lands and establishing agricultural cooperatives in a way that contributes to the advancement of the agricultural sector. For his part, the Director of the Directorate reviewed the efforts made to provide priority services and needs, pointing out the services that the Directorate needs in various fields.
