A meeting in Abs District, Hajjah Governorate, headed by the Chairman of the Presidential Committee to Confront Flood Damage in Hodeidah, Hajjah and Raymah, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, on Tuesday, discussed the role of the Yemeni Red Crescent in supporting those affected by floods in the governorate. The meeting, which included the Governor of Hajjah, Hilal Al-Sufi, the Head of the Sub-Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Saada, and the Head of the Yemeni Red Crescent Society in the governorate, Dr. Ahmed Nassar, reviewed the interventions implemented by the Red Crescent to provide relief to those affected. It touched on the extent of the damage caused by the floods to citizens' properties and homes and the current insufficiency of the Red Crescent's stock to cover the needs of those affected.
