Doha: HE Director of the Government Communications Office Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al-Thani met today with Head of the Information and Public Relations Service of the French National Gendarmerie Jean-Valery Letterman. The meeting took place in the context of the ongoing preparations for the participation of Qatari security forces in securing the Summer Olympic Games (Paris 2024). During the meeting, aspects of joint cooperation in the field of communication were discussed, including the active role played by the office in coordinating communication between relevant entities in the State of Qatar. In this context, HE Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al-Thani emphasized the vital role of the media in highlighting the achievements of the State of Qatar and the extensive expertise its personnel have gained in various fields. He noted that these sets of expertise have become a sustainable legacy that major global events seek to benefit from. It is worth mentioning that Qatar and France signed an a dministrative agreement in February regarding security cooperation on the Summer Olympic Games in Paris 2024, scheduled to be held from Jul. 26 to Aug. 11 next year.
