The Director-General of the International Labor Organization, Guy Ryder, thanked the Iraqi government for its efforts in hosting the Arab Labor Conference in the capital, Baghdad. Ryder said in a speech at the opening of the conference: 'There are many challenges in the world of work, including technological development.' He added: 'There are hundreds of thousands of dead in Gaza and twice that number of displaced people, and millions who suffer from famine in the world,' noting: 'These numbers require rapid relief work in Gaza and the West Bank, and we are currently in contact with world leaders to activate relief programs.
