The Digiskills Association (Digiskills) and the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Int@j) signed an agreement on Tuesday to address the gap between local labor supply and international demand within the ICT sector. The partnership aims to strengthen Jordan's ICT sector by developing a skilled workforce to meet global market demands, according to a statement by Int@j on Tuesday. The agreement, signed by Digiskills Managing Director Nabil Fayoumi and Int@j CEO Nidal Bitar, establishes a collaborative framework leveraging both organizations' strengths in advocacy, market intelligence, digital skills development, and talent management. Fayoumi highlighted the partnership's alignment with their mission to empower Jordanian youth through enhanced digital competencies. Joint efforts will focus on analyzing global IT trends, labor demands, and developing targeted upskilling programs to increase employability in international markets. The two organizations will also collaborate on pr eparing concept notes and funding proposals, aiming to attract support from donors for initiatives aligned with Jordan's development goals. Government engagement will ensure alignment with national priorities, contributing to economic development and job creation. Additionally, Digiskills and Int@j will work with ICT companies, training providers, universities, and certification bodies to create globally recognized training programs. Promotional campaigns and participation in international tech events will position Jordan as a hub for digitally skilled talent, attracting employers and partners. The partnership will also explore opportunities for joint sponsorships and participation in key industry events, enhancing visibility for their initiatives and reinforcing Jordan's leadership in the ICT sector.
