The local authority in Dhamar Governorate received on Wednesday the second batch of support provided by the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Finance for the project to support community initiatives in the roads, water and education sectors. The representative of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance, Engineer Fares Ali Al-Shamahi, explained that the second batch of support amounts to 27 thousand bags of cement to support effective community initiatives projects within the governorate's directorates. He stressed that supporting community initiatives translates the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the Supreme Political Council to adopt more effective development projects, pointing to the efforts of the local authority in implementing development and service projects, as well as community interaction in implementing projects of need and priority in various regions of the governorate. Al-Shammahi pointed out that the pr oject works to provide cement and diesel and provide some equipment for splitting and breaking up rocks in the most deprived areas, which contributes to developing community participation to work to bridge the development gap in deprived areas. He stated that Dhamar Governorate is one of the first governorates in adopting community initiatives and has achieved great successes in implementing qualitative projects in a number of sectors, explaining that disbursement work is carried out for effective initiative projects in accordance with the matrix signed between the local authority and the Ministry of Finance. In turn, the Director of the Community Initiatives Support Department in the governorate, Engineer Fadel Al-Harbi, praised the role of the Central Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance in supporting community initiatives to bring about a comprehensive development renaissance in many sectors. He pointed out that the support comes within the efforts aimed at stimulating community initiatives and pushing the community to accomplish more initiatives, noting that the support provided to the initiatives through the Emergency Development Interventions Unit had an influential role in creating unprecedented interaction and encouraging the community to proceed with the implementation of quality initiatives that meet the community's aspirations for service and development projects.
