Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development Mohammed al-Madani emphasized on Tuesday the critical need to capitalize on the current rainy season and strengthen collaborative efforts to address flood damage. In a meeting with leaders from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, and the Agricultural Cooperative Union, al-Madani underscored the importance of mobilizing resources and coordinating between relevant ministries and local agencies to support flood-affected areas and aid in land reclamation efforts. He called for improved coordination between ministries, local authorities, and cooperative societies to alleviate the impact on affected communities and maximize the benefits of the rainy season for agricultural development. Al-Madani stressed the government's commitment to community initiatives and agricultural cooperatives, aligning with the broader goals of the September 21 Revolution to achieve self -sufficiency. Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan al-Rubai, reaffirmed the ministry's dedication to leveraging the rainy season for expanding agricultural areas and supporting farmers. Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Samir Bajaala, highlighted the need for cooperative efforts between government and society to overcome current challenges and activate the role of unions and cooperative societies in development work. The Deputy Prime Minister concluded by urging a unified approach to development, emphasizing the importance of utilizing available resources and community support to advance various sectors including education, health, and infrastructure.
