Defense Ministry: A Regiment Commander and a number of fighters were martyred as a result of a terrorist attack within the sector of responsibility

The Ministry of Defense announced the martyrdom of Colonel Khaled Naji Wasak, Commander of the 2nd Regiment, 93rd Infantry Brigade, 21st Infantry Division, along with a number of the regiment's heroic fighters, as a result of their response to a terrorist attack within the sector of responsibility. The Ministry said in a statement, 'It mourns the loss of its heroic martyr, Colonel Khaled Naji Wassak, commander of the 2nd Regiment/93rd Infantry Brigade/21st Infantry Division, and a number of the regiment's heroic fighters, who were martyred on Monday, May 13, 2024, as a result of their response to a terrorist attack within Responsibility secter. It added, 'The heroic martyr and our brave fighters participated in strengthening the military units that repelled the terrorist attack, as their remnants escaped. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
