Baghdad, Defense Minister Thabet Mohammed Saeed Al-Abbasi met today with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Middle Eastern Affairs Daniel Shapiro. The Ministry said in a statement: "During the meeting, which was attended by US Ambassador to Iraq Alina Romanowski, the Chief of Staff of the Army, Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, and the Head of the Anti-Terrorism Service, the Minister discussed issues of common interest between the two countries."
